Mrs. Colaianne

My name is Donna (Skiver) Colaianne.  I have been teaching first grade at Roosevelt McGrath since 1998. I attended Eastern Michigan University for my Bachelors and Masters Degree, specializing in Reading. I started teaching at Wayne-Westland in 1987 with the Headstart program. I have taught 1 st grade at Titus Elementary, 2 nd grade at Kettering, Kindergarten at Taft and Elliott and 1 st grade at Elliott.  I also currently hold the position of Elementary English Languages Art Department Head for the school district.

My husband (Bob) and I attended school from Kindergarten through 12 th grade in the Wayne-Westland School District.  We have three sons who also graduated from the Wayne-Westland School District. They are currently taking graduate courses and management training programs. Our two granddaughters go to school at Bird Elementary in Plymouth. We have recently returned from a family reunion in St.John's, Newfoundland, Canada where I was born. Our family also loves to spend time together at our cottage on Little Clear Lake where we fish, swim, kayak and sit around the campfire.

We are thankful for the friends and family we have here in Wayne-Westland.
